SIERRA WIRELESS MC8780 3G/HSDPA 7.2Mbps/GPS Card

Hi,I just installed the SIERRA WIRELESS MC8780 3G/HSDPA 7.2Mbps/GPS Card into my Exopc tablet pc and downloaded the 3G watcher software but I'm getting 'device not detected.' I have also inserted a sim card into the sim slot but still getting the same message. The Exopc has no switch to switch on or off the card. It is a simple case of just pushing the sim card in. I'd be grateful for a solution. Another thing is: Do someone need to install the antennae for this card before the card could be detected? I assume that is not necessary for a pc tablet/laptop to detect a pci-e card. 10 out of 11 found this valuable. Do you?
