Hi,
I just installed the SIERRA WIRELESS MC8780 3G/HSDPA 7.2Mbps/GPS Card into my Exopc tablet pc and downloaded the 3G watcher software but I'm getting 'device not detected.' I have also inserted a sim card into the sim slot but still getting the same message. The Exopc has no switch to switch on or off the card. It is a simple case of just pushing the sim card in. I'd be grateful for a solution. Another thing is: Do someone need to install the antennae for this card before the card could be detected? I assume that is not necessary for a pc tablet/laptop to detect a pci-e card. |

If the program gives and error when trying to enable voice in Windows Vista, do the following:
Right click on enablevoice.exe and select properties, then select the compatibility tab and check the box ' run this in compatibility mode' for windows XP service pack 2, then click 'Apply', then click 'OK'. Then simply run the program as normal. Job done.

I followed the steps above.
The first file updated successfully. However the 2nd file got up to 99% and then stayed there for more than an hour. The OK & Cancel buttons were both greyed out so I couldn't do anything with the process. I had to kill it. I did so by restarting. Windows now can't detect the modem and neither does any of the software on my machine! I've looked at the bios settings but can't find anything that makes reference to the modem in question. Help!!
