Vodafone K3565 (Huawei) bricked :-(
Hi,
Not sure if anyone can suggest anything to help but here goes:
I found this modem lying around with an old, now expired vodafone SIM. After some googling I thought I should be able to unlock it and enable voice.
Unlock worked fine and I've had it going on a cpl of laptops. I updated the firmware to the latest version (11.609.10.00.00.B716) and all was working OK.
I then tried to enable voice with the AT command AT^CVOICE=0. I then also issued another cpl of commands (because I copied and pasted the wrong one and also because I didn't know what I was doing) which were AT^U2DIAG=255 and AT^U2DIAG=267
Anyway, following a reboot the result is it's no longer detected as a modem. (Same in 2 other PCs) and hence I can't do anything including issuing other AT commands that may reverse it (because there's no device to point them at).
I appreciate it serves me right but I wondered if there's anything I can attempt before I throw it out?

Huawei E160E update failure
Hi, I have a Huawei E160E which worked fine in windows, but not with my Android 2.2 tablet, so I upgraded the firmware to
E160Update_11.609.10.02.432.B418.exe, hoping that might solve my problem.
Unfortunately, it is now not recognised as a modem in 'device manager', but just as a
Mass Storage Device, and in Explorer it is listed as 'CD Drive (F:) Mobile Partner'
Now I can't connect at all, nor send any AT commands, as it is not listed as a modem.
Can anybody help? or, if this has been answered before, point me to the link?

my friends would ask:
whether Huawei E160G USB modem driver (already on crack) can be replaced with E1550 USB modem driver (which is not on crack), because I want to get a speed of 7.2 MB / s.
If the driver E160G drivers can be replaced with E1550, what steps should I do from start to finish?
And what the risk is going to happen with my E160G USB modem?
Please give us advice and input .....

how to enable the voice telephony
my K3565 comes with support to voice telephony but it is desabled thus i need to enable it, how can i enable it.
BTW: i need to use the unbranded connection manager "mobile partner" so where can i find the dashboard with mobile partner which support the voice, othere wise, how can i build my one dashboard containing mobile partner, my country operator connection profiles, and the voice telephony support.
