sierra wireless air card
dont know if this is the forum for this problem but i am desperate: have had AT&T aircard since april 2012. very good connections (4-5 bars). have always had good speed for downloading websites unitl this past April. now i get time-outs maybe 3-4 times out of every 5 attempts at connecting to a web site. same laptop (Lenovo), same op.sys (windows XP), same location in house, have tried various browsers, have replaced sim card 3 times, aircard once (went from a Huwaii to a Sierra wireless), have had my laptop checked by professionals for viruses and malware (none), have plenty of memory and disk space, am current with windows updates. ALSO... if i take this laptop somewhere where i can use WIFI, i have no time-out issues. if i then switch to AT&T air card, the timeouts start. i have invested hours and hours of time on the phone with AT&T tech support with no solution. i have no other options for internet access except going back to dial up. i cant do that, i will shoot myself first. does anyone have ANY ideas??? thanks
