Getting very confused.
Is there a difference between Huawei E3131 and Huawei E3131s-2
and will either work with T-Mobil in the United States?
Where can I purchase them without having to go through China?

Unbranded E173u-2 has no CRC9
Hi Folks,
as the title says, my unbranded E173u-2 does NOT have a connector for an external antenna which is reachable from outside. Opening the device (both covers) reveals a test connector for the production by the manufacturer. This is not suitable for external connections as there is no lock for a reliable attachment of a connector.
This is just meant as a supplement the above table - thanks to those who compiled it!

How to use Huawei e173 modem
Hi All, I had purchased a Huawei e173 modem for a project purpose. I want to use it as a 3g USB modem now. Can anyone tell me the steps to do it?
I have previously tried using it with IDEA sim, Airtel sim. Windows OS detects it but I dont know how to set it up and use the connection.
I am using ubuntu os.

Unlock and Alternative software for ZTE MF110
I unlocked ZTE MF110 witch DC-unlocker. You must download latest DC-unlocker client from http://www.dc-unlocker.com/ and buy 7 credits (1 € per 1 credit). Next you must run DC-unlocker client and follow instructions on this film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zo4wKuqzoCE&feature=player_embedded (you must rightclick "Eject" on modem autorun icon before anlock witch DC-unlocker). You also can change modem firmware http://www.dc-unlocker.co.../ZTE/Dashboards (I recommend Dashboard_Windows&MacOS_generic, this is unbrander ZTE JoinAir ISO image). To change firmware please unplug modem, remove SIM card and plug again modem, click Flash on DC-unlocker, search modem and open ISO image. Read and write flash witch DC-unlocker is free.

It is not asking for any code.

i have tried the updated software e155x update_11.608.13.02.00.B418 but it is asking for password.
