  • DEBRANDING BY UPGRADING CAUSES PROBLEMS? Huawei E160E E1550 E1552 Problem After Mobile Partner UPGRADE 0 1 minute ago by 305dragster

I read in here about DEBRANDING Huawei by upgrading Mobile Partner. Thus I upgraded my E160E to

    Latest official update from Huawei: E160G Client Software-WINMACB300D00SP01C03 (UTPS11.300.05.00.03_MACHOST11.202.08.00.03) (For Winxp&2K&Vista &MAC) (05010AAG) debranding Huawei USB modems - 3G modem wiki (10395 KB) 27-May-2009

    as suggested in this forum.
after the upgrade, a bad side effect happened. The E160E including the E1550 and E1552 that all I use STOPPED working. The dashboard Mobile Partner will come up and detect the devices but it will NOT SEE any network. All modems used to work before. Now I can not use them with the computer that I did the upgrade (XP SP3). All modems works with my other computers though.

Anyone please let me know how to fix this.........Thanks!!!

  • Problem Following E1762 Debranding Steps Hi,

I follow the debranding steps on http://3g-modem.wetpaint.com/page/Huawei+E1762 using the persistent method.
After I finish the debrand, the modem doesn't get detected anymore.
Through device manager I can see it only detected as a drive.
When i try to debrand with other version or install the firmware or whatever, I got the error "Data card can't be found. Error code 2".
    Please help, thanks!

  • Problem after debranding ZTE MF100 Hi there,
I have a ZTE MF100 on O2 UK. I have unlocked it successfully. I then tried to debrand it using QPST. With it I accessed the flash memory and removed ZTEMODEM.ISO.
I replaced it with my own ISO which I had created using install files for JOIN AIR I had found on the internet. I made sure JOIN AIR worked on the PC and could detect the dongle and make a connection. This was all successful.
SO I then put my ZTEMODEM.ISO inside the dongle after I had backed up the original one.
This all looked like ti went successfully.
But now if I insert my dongle into a PC (Any PC), it does not get recognised. There is a drive letter that appears (E) in "my computer" but I can't see what's inside.
I can't use QPST either as it won't see the dongle.
Can anyone tell me how to get myself out of that pickle ?
    Thanks
    Fred

  • step by step for safe debranding of vodafone k3565-z thanks for the useful information on debranding the device. I am not competent in such procedures. I would like someone to take me through the process step by step online may be through instant messages like yahoo messenger. My main concern is especially with execution of commands and loading them on the sd stick.
    thanks.

  • SMS center faulty - not changeable in k3765perm23092010.rar debranding Hi guys,

I recently noticed, that the k3765perm23092010 debranding won't send SMS with any of my SIM cards. I suspect the number of the SMS center is wrong and I can't find any menu to change the SMS center number.

Do you have an idea how to solve this? I suppose there's some SMS plugin that needs to be activated to make the SMS center settings visible.

    regards,

    Inquisitor

  • Unlock/Debrand the Mi-fi(Huawei E5830)from 3UK? Hi, my friend just bought me a Mi-fi (Huawei E5830) from 3UK through the Pay As You Go plan. He said the sales person said that as long as I am within the 3 international network, I can even use a 3HK SIM (SIM from 3 Hong Kong) to get online. However, I cant get online when I insert the 3HK card, but I can get a roaming internet connection when I insert the 3UK PAYG card. Is there anything I need to set? or the modem is locked? If it is locked, can I debrand/unlock it by updating the "Mobile Partner" from other Huawei modem? Thx a lot for your help!
